  • Reference Test Drives

Used by Test Equipment makers these are highly characterized and reproducible optical drives that have a wide range of utility and extensive diagnostic performance features. Built in a very stable mechanical configuration they are designed for continuous use in manufacturing environments and have been proven through extensive use. They are sold only on an OEM basis.

These drives are available in HD DVD format (single and double layer), BD format (single and double layer) and conventional DVD format. They can be used to test and characterize disc media, stampers and masters.

  • Biometric access personal storage devices

Based on the unique 32 mm DataPlay media this personal storage device is a miniature optical storage drive with a removable 500MB archival write once optical disc. The recorded data is highly secure and automatically encrypted on a full disc basis, data access is through biometrics or a password. The drive is powered off the USB 2 port and is 65mm X 67mm X 20mm.

The disc can be removed and the digital templates that define the biometric image are stored on the media in a secure encrypted form. Hence the media is inter-changeable and can be removed from the system for use in other devices provided the scanned biometric image is validated. The security of the data access is the primary attribute and is achieved though through the use of trusted sources and secure validation before the biometric based password is accessible.
