• Optical disc drive production

DPHI is known for the production and sale of the most advanced optical disc drives, these include the new blue laser based technologies such as HD DVD and BluRay. These drives are used by test equipment manufacturers for use in optical disc production environments. In addition DPHI produces optical drives for use in specialized video download applications and for use in secure or “trusted” applications where data integrity and security are needed.

• Optical disc drive engineering and development

The development of novel optical disc drives is the key skill at DPHI Inc. The engineers and technologists at our company are recognized world wide as experts in their fields, which include; optical head design and test, data channel and error correction technology, drive controller systems design, hardware and firmware based servo control, optical media characterization, drive mechanics and overall system integration. DPHI Inc is a principal member of the DVD Forum and also is involved with the Trusted Computing Group as well as other standard setting organizations in the optical disc field. These skills are applied to our own products and also are available on a selected basis as engineering services.
